For the last 30 years I have been developing a great interest in modern and contemporary art.
I permanently obtain the necessary information and extensive knowledge about various forms of art not only from visiting museums, exhibitions, galleries, private viewings and auctions but also from trade publications and literature. Most importantly, intensive conversations with artists and gallery owners give me great insight into their works and creations.
The idea of a virtual gallery named TheArtBureau. evolved from this ever increasing interest in contemporary art. It serves to make selected pieces of art accessible to people and also companies and organizations at any time at any place in a pleasant and comfortable manner.
Pleasant - because you can view and examine works of art and let them sink in without any obligation, anonymously and without commitment as long and as often as you want.
It is often the case that you may want to eye a painting in different individual spirits before making the final decision to buy. In many cases you just don´t want to ask for the price or you are even intimidated by the compelling expert knowledge of the gallery owner which simply prevents you from entering a gallery.
